Completing of the programme will enable you to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the industry and scientific research, successfully realize yourself in the field of optics, physics, modern material handling, welding, measuring technology and communications. Basic subjects of studies: Solid state physics, Physical technologies, Quantum mechanics and statistical physics, Modelling and simulation of physical processes, and others. Special disciplines: Micro and nanotechnology, Laser measuring equipment, Optical design, Components of the laser technology, Modern development of laser technology, and others.
Visiting professors from partner universities will be involved as teachers and advisors in the programme. Students have an opportunity to participate in Erasmus mobility for studies and traineeship. The language of instruction is English or German.
Professional or academic bachelor’s degree (study duration of at least 3 years (180 ECTS) or second level (or equivalent) higher education in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, medicine, computer science, information technology, mathematics, or economics.
Document conforming English language proficiency (level B2) is received or English assesment is done.
To complete the study programme student has to earn 80 CP (120 ECTS).
