Project number: NPAD-2023/10103
Project manager/coordinator: Ilze Skromule
Project goal: The project aims to develop a report based on an analysis of the qualifications and competences of adult educators in order to increase the employability, economic and social inclusion and overall social sustainability of adult educators.
Project annotation and main tasks: As adult education supports the development of society, adult educators are key players in ensuring that adult learners have the appropriate competencies and qualifications for a SMART future.
The smart future is closely linked to changes in the ecological and digital fields, which affect each of us - from the economy and industry to society and the environment. New green technologies are already being introduced to help address the greatest challenge of our time - climate change. It is also recognized that digitalization is one of the most important factors that can contribute to the achievement of sustainability goals and ensure the necessary changes.
All this creates opportunities for new jobs and thus new skills and competences, new professions and qualifications. The report will provide information on the future qualifications and competences of adult educators, make recommendations for research in adult education, and address priorities and key areas of action based on policy/practice needs.
