The aim of the contest is to discover and promote young fashion designers. Thanks to the contest, fashion design students have an opportunity to gain practical experience, knowledge and skills so that they are able to participate in fashion shows. Participation in the contest promotes new designers` further development and faster integration in the fashion industry. It also encourages knowledge and experience sharing and provides practical support for the commercialization of collections.
The contest plays a significant role in the development of national fashion industry as it provides an opportunity to meet future fashion players. It also shows Latvian design to a wider public and promotes sales of Latvian design products.
The priority is given to the collections demonstrating novelty in cut to shape, design, texture, development techniques, composition etc. and which have commercial potential.
