Design students at Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA) have always been and are creative, curious, hard-working, and active. The results of their endeavours are often seen on various projects, exhibitions and other activities.
On 2 September, students of the study programme Fashion Design and Technology visited Kaunata Secondary School (Latvia) and involved pupils in a creative fashion show presenting their collections and informing about the possibilities to study at RTA.
Pupils of Kaunata Secondary School admitted that the fashion show had been interesting and eye-catching. "It was very interesting to watch that show. Dresses and bags were very stylish and attractive," said one of the pupils and the other admitted, "There were really unusual dresses, for individuals."
On 6 September, Utena University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania) hosted the scientific discussion The Fourth Industrial Revolution Changes the World gathering academic staff, entrepreneurs, students and all those interested in the known and unknown possibilities of the future in design, engineering, new technologies, as well as future changes.
Third-year students of the study programme Fashion Design and Technology presented the results and practical works of RTA grant projects in a poster session. The audience showed a great interest in the works of the students, whereas the students had the opportunity to share their experience on the conducted studies and experiments with textiles and genuine leather carried out at the laboratories of RTA.
During the fashion show Time and Question, the collections by the students and alumni of Utena University of Applied Sciences and RTA were judged by the commission of professional experts. It must be noted, that all three collections of RTA received a great deal of praise and were awarded diplomas.
