During the two weeks, the participants enjoyed Chinese hospitality, attended Chinese language classes and lectures on Chinese culture and economics delivered by experienced lecturers. An impressive cultural programme was also offered providing the opportunity to visit the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and other cultural and historical sites, to watch an acrobatic show, and climb the Great Wall of China. Two days were spent in Xi'an which is one of the ancient capitals of China. The city impressed with well-preserved wall of the Old City, the magnificent architecture, the Muslim Quarter and the Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, as well as the industrial zone with modern technology.
During the seminar, discussions were held at BICC and Xi'an International University on opportunities to cooperate in the field of education.
After the trip, not only certificates and souvenirs presented at the end of the seminar, but also fond memories and ideas for further cooperation were brought home from China. For example, Anastasija Goršanova, who has been studying Chinese for three years at the RTA Confucius Classroom, has obtained a grant and will pursue studies at South China Normal University.
