Representatives of official institutions from different countries participated in the forum sharing their country's experience in dealing with the issues of agroecology.
In the afternoon, work was organized in groups and the representatives of RTA participated in the work of the Agroecology and Bioeconomy group, where scientists, businessmen, and national representatives discussed opportunities to reduce the negative impact of climate change on agriculture and the food industry through cooperation.
The next day, discussions were held on future vision for the development of a sustainable food production and the application of appropriate production methods.
Entrepreneurs, who actively shared their experiences and future vision in the context of agroecology, were also actively involved in the plenaries. Of course, the views are different, but one is clear to everyone - if we talk about long-term use of resources, we need to think about conservation and restoration of natural resources.
At the end of the event, the participants had the opportunity to visit the "Food and Agriculture Exhibition 2019" and get acquainted with the latest food processing equipment, recycling methods, as well as the latest trends in the production of novel foods.
During the visit, RTA representatives met with the management, researchers and academic staff of the Food Science and Technology Department of the Estonian University of Life Sciences to discuss future cooperation. The idea of a possible H2020 program project was discussed.
