Turkish, Polish, Bulgarian, and Romanian pupil delegation visits RTA

In December, in the framework of the implementation of the Erasmus+ project “STEP – STEM to Environmental Problems”, Eastern Latvia Technology High School welcome pupils from Turkey, Poland, Bulgaria, and Romania. On 11 December, with aim to learn more about study opportunities in modern environment, the pupils visited Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA).

Acting Rector, Professor Iveta Mietule informed the guests about the structure of the RTA, study fields and programmes, highlighting participation in Erasmus+ programme, international cooperation in the field of studies and research in the framework of different projects, as well as cooperation with municipalities, entrepreneurs, and other partners. After the presentation, the guest took an opportunity to ask questions and welcomed the opportunity given to the pupils of Eastern Latvia Technology High School to study in modern environment at the RTA laboratories.

While visiting laboratories at the faculty of Engineering, the pupils learned about the opportunities of students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and got an insight into the research activities of the RTA`s staff and students. Presenting the chemistry laboratories of the RTA, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ērika Teirumnieka particularly emphasized the commissioned work implemented by the RTA students.
