Projects of the new designers- contribution to society

Tuesday, 27. February
On 2 February four graduates of the study programme “Design” received their master`s degree diplomas at the graduation ceremony held at Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA). Within the development of their qualification works, all of them had developed graphic design projects and proved the task of design- to address societal needs.

The design innovation developed by Inese Dundure is a tactile annex to “Still Life”, the catalogue of the art collection of Latgale Museum of Cultural History. The tactile graphics and descriptions in Braille reveal the composition of the artwork for people with visual impairments. The product promotes the availability of museum art values for visually impaired and blind people.

Santa Miezīte in cooperation with the Museum of Viļaka Municipality have developed the graphics and layout for the exhibition “History of the Municipality Schools”. The museum obtained a logo developed by Miezīte.

The catalogue developed by Kristīna Tribrate consolidates diploma projects drawn up by graduates of the study programme “Interior Design”. The catalogue has an important role in historical overview of the study programme and popularizes study programmes implemented at RTA.

Through the qualification work Laura Greize demonstrates her multifaceted artistic expressions- dancing and photography- which she presents in her poetry book “Nolādētā” (Damned).

It should be noted that all the graduates received the highest grades.
