The guests invited to the event - Artis Teilāns, Professor, Dr.sc.ing., Head of Information and Communication Technologies Research Centre at Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA), and his colleagues. The main theme: publicly accessible systems for publishers of academic journals and proceedings of conference; quotation of scientific publications.
The audience will have an opportunity to learn how to get involved and use The Public Knowledge Project (PKP)- a multi-university initiative developing (free) open source software and conducting research to improve the quality and reach of scholarly publishing, which is actively used by several U.S., Canadian, and European universities.
