Liepaja– a city of sea, wind & music

10 hour tour including transfers; tour on foot
Explore Liepaja starting at the Rose’s Square which is heart of the city and continue to the Cathedral of Holy Trinity, St.Anna’s Church, Latvian Musicians’ Alley of Fame, House of Craftsmen which owns the world’s longest string of amber beads (length – 123 m, weight – 19 kg). Take a walk along the Promenade where you will see the Amber Clock which symbolically counts the minutes spent there. One of the most interesting sites in Liepaja is Karosta (Naval port) which occupies one third of the city. It is a spectacular, paradoxical and unique site important not only in Latvia but also in world’s history and architecture. Its environment reflects interaction of tsarist Russia military elegance and soviet militarism. Today Karosta is a unique neighborhood. It is not a closed area of a military base anymore but a tourism site with inspiring environment for creative people.
